Blanche Barrow was an American criminal and member of the infamous Barrow Gang, led by her husband, Clyde Barrow, and his partner in crime, Bonnie Parker. Blanche was born on January 1, 1911 in Garvin, Oklahoma. She married Clyde Barrow in 1931.
Blanche was an active participant in the gang's criminal activities, including robberies, burglaries, and shootouts with law enforcement. She was known to be a skilled driver and was often behind the wheel during their criminal escapades.
In 1933, Blanche was wounded in a shootout with police in Platte City, Missouri, which led to her capture. She was sentenced to ten years in prison for her role in the Barrow Gang's crimes. Blanche served six years in prison before being released on parole in 1939.
After her release, Blanche lived a relatively quiet life, working as a waitress and later marrying again. She passed away on December 24, 1988, at the age of 77. Blanche Barrow's life story has been portrayed in various films and documentaries about the Barrow Gang.
